Melbourne underground noise band Psych Carni have tortured audiences with confrontational gigs of mechano-eroticism for years throughout darkened venues around Australia. Reforming in 2005 for the Melbourne Teknikunst Festival, the band have continued to evolve; touring for The Under The Blue Moon Festival (Syd), The Dead Of Winter Festival (Bris), plus radio airplay in Los Angeles and a NME video award in the UK. Psych Carni have created a sonic battery by fusing elements of industrial, death rock and darkstep in the construction of a dynamic, physical totality.

What we love about Manticle is that every concert is a unique awe inspiring feast of sound and equipment! There is beauty in decay. Beauty in the forgotten, the discarded and the repressed. There is beauty in ugliness and there is ugliness in beauty. I’m not sure which side of beauty Manticle is on, nor if it should be described. Like the world’s tastiest cigarette Manticle aims to remove the hairs from your lungs one by one. This is ambient death machine industrial designed to disturb and delight. Constructed entirely live and influenced by acts such as Bockholm, Stravtm Terror and Schloss Tegal, Manticle offers you a new type of bowel syndrome.

Chiron is a band that cannot be bound by genre. Originally a dark wave band, Chiron entered the new millennium fresh with new ideas and an opportunity to take its music far deeper than before. What was once a solid dark wave band, Chiron was soon to be exposed to the sounds of trip hop, ambient breaks and dark hard trance.

Heavily inspired by early 80s noise bands like SPK and Einsturzende Neubauten, early rave/techno, the original digital hardcore movement, trip hop and Australia's industrial hardcore scene. Although mostly producing hardcore techno such as gabber, digital hardcore, breakcore and fuckstep, other styles include dark drum n bass, jungle, breakbeat, IDM, dub and hip hop. ENZYME is a semi-regular Melbourne event which provides opportunities for the public with taste, to enjoy Australian underground live music performances and visuals. Previous artists have performed well outside the mainstream through a diverse slather including but not limited to; noise, experimental, avante garde, dark ambient, electronica, industrial, gothic, darkwave, trip hop, dark hip hop, metal and beyond.

What began in 2005 as a local experiment, is now an underground institution and we thank you for your support!
