I am an 19 year old female DJ & Producer. My interest in playing music first began when I was about 3 years old, as a child I would watch my dad mixing and pester him to have a go but my Dad said only when I’m tall enough to reach the decks (Although sometimes he would pick me up or give me a chair to stand on for a quick scratch, mix or even just lifting the needle. The DJ name I use is actually my real name… Dad said he looked at me the moment I was born and he thought straight away DJ Cali. Believe it or not, all exams we’re passed at school to one day become a marine biologist, then just weeks before starting college I told my family I’ve changed mind and want to be a DJ my dad’s face was a picture, He didn’t say much, so I knew he was proud, I then left college after 2 years with a distinction in Music Technology, during which I won an award for the best music video and that was shown at Greenwich cinema. I started mixing properly on Technics 1210’s when I was 14 years old. Nearly every Sunday for two hours! And got my first pair of Pioneer CDJ’s for my 16th Birthday! With the excitement of having my own decks, the vinyls took a backseat however I am progressing with vinyl’s once again. I started off only mixing house music which then lead onto garage, Bassline, and all sub genres of house. Now I would say I spend a lot of my time mixing Drum and Bass, and for that I thank the London squat rave scene in 2016/2017, before raving I barely even knew what Drum and Bass was! I would still say that I am a multi-genre DJ as I love each genre for different reasons. I am currently resident DJ at The Source bar in Maidstone Kent (Drum and Bass), Music Galaxy Radio (House), and Dose Radio Drum and Bass. I’ve also played DJ sets at GYPO festival, Status, and The Beach Bar on San Antonio beach “Ibiza”.When all the partying is over I always chill out by mixing in my music room or producing in my recording studio. Some of the DJ’s I rate are, DJ Intelligence, Flava D, Carl Cox, DJ Zinc, Micky Finn, Shapes, DJ Q, Document One, DJ Mowgli, DJ Tony French, Andy C, and many more.

Had made a guest appearance in the “Hellfire Nightclub Melbourne” documentary produced by Mark Bakaitis in 2010 discussing the music played over the years at this event. 2016 perform as Raven Corps Guard in the Film “Cult Girls" directed by Mark Bakaitis. DJ Infectious Unease loves to explore a plethora of sound and explode it out on the air waves and night clubs. He has no fear of delivering a sound of surprise. Behind the veil, amidst clouds and voodoo trinkets, is Fate Æffect (aka https://www.facebook.com/tempestrecordings). Inspired by the occult insight, mental illness, visions of dystopia, and his wife Alison as his muse, this industrial and dark electronica project has been producing multi-faceted esoteric sounds since 2003. His work is a vessel for musical experimentation and inspiration unrestricted by genre, flirting with a range of electronic styles from industrial, dark techno, weird bedroom beats and electronica, breakcore to noise/ambient. Often tongue in cheek and an a reason for venting, & alleviating boredom, Fate Æffect’s live setup and production techniques change constantly and aims to create feelings in gyrations of sensory awareness.
Fate Æffect has had releases on Tempest Recordings, Dark Stereo, his own label Slice Records and remixes on Ende and Legs Akimbo.
He is also involved in an Industrial side project called ‘Clouds Above Chaos’ with fellow producer Gareth Fox and produces and VJ’s under Ear Mind Eye creating psychedelic electronic music and visuals. Along with fellow producers James Woodcock and Gareth Fox, created Slice Records in 2011. The label and artist collective based in Melbourne focuses on underground electronica, art and music exposing a unique selection of artistic talent.

In the early half of the 2010's, a series of experiments were initiated at the Large Hadron Collider that would prove to have a profound effect on the future of the human species. Subatomic particles, accelerated to blistering speeds collided in a spray of quarks and neutrinos that unleashed a fierce energy hitherto unseen. Containment systems failed. Failsafes burnt out one by one. Terrible forces tore repeatedly at the underlying fabric of time and space, twisted until it sheared free. For an instant a tunnel formed between our universe and the seething mass of chaos that lies outside. Although it lasted only a fraction of a second, that was all it took to change the world. Some say it was a giant owl that burst forth, shrieking. Others say they saw a group of shadowy men with strange instruments, probing at the ragged edge of reality. Still others claim that it was both, that the men were the owl, the owl the men, and the instruments those great wings whose tips bridge the gap between the real and the irreal. What they thankfully do not realise is that they are all correct. They that came forth are at once the owl and the man and they speak for the formless void beyond all we know. They are the cry in the night, the luminous eyes, the feathered talons plunging endlessly into the roiling dark. They are Oolluu.. Hoot hoot!

electro industrial rock hybrid born of musically sequenced destructive tendencies. melodic rumination, dystopic noise, layered interference. tea and cake. Benjamin Smith, previously known for his timeless Melbourne project Cassandra's Myth, is accompanied on stage by long-time collaborator Ivan Bullock of Minorarc. Both have been actively recording, performing and promoting music since the late ‘90s in Australia, Tokyo and Europe. Sleeplab have been described as post-party electro rock, but as certifiable homebodies they are without strong ties to any musical genre. This perhaps explains their chameleonic style, which lurches haphazardly from folk to ebm.

Hollow Idle are Sam Chesser and Grant Kondrad. They recorded a full length record under the name The Cloaks in 2011, on the label EEO through MGM. The CD covered a lot if territory within its 8 tracks, from The Doors through Leonard Cohen to Garage Psych (not to mention Alt Country and 60's Pop as well). The record was described by highly prominent Australian music writer Jeff Jenkins as 'quite a trip' in his Inpress music column Howzat, with the track Morning Yard making his top 5 Oz artists songs of the week alongside the late Rock Icon Jim Keays of Masters Apprentices, Ben Lee & Henry Wagons. Not bad company! Expect more of the eclectic same with Hollow Idle, who will be revisiting a few key Cloaks tracks as well as throwing in a few surprises...

DJ Infectious Unease has been presenting Infectious Unease Radio and DJing at clubs since 1992.
His DJing has ranged from specialist events starting at Asylum Nightclub, Blue Velvet (Aeon, Belfry, White Room, Revelations, and Enzyme nights since 2000), Pony (Dark Fall Ball), Dream (Demus night), Vedettes, Cas Reitops (Dirty Secrets) and most recently at Horse Bazaar (Dawn Industries Enzyme Night) ,Abode (Neo Etica) Mr Boogie Man Bar (Dawn Industries Enzyme Night) and Bodega Bar (Subterranean Zone).
A member of the band Noir Corps, Dawn Industries Music Collective, the label Dawn Industries, Enzyme (live music events), has also released an eclectic and limited edition 4 disc 62 band compilation with his label Infectious Unease Productions and Dawn Industries. A self-published performance writer, who has released such books as 2011“Severed Eye”, 2005 “The Poet's Eye”, 2003 “The Deception Of Latex That Causes The Deepest Remark”, 1997 “The Cadaver Restaurant- A Menu Of Short Stories And Poems”, Works On Cd 2010 “ Noir Corps “le terreur”, 2003 “Reflective Return Spoken Word By Gordon Taylor Music By Ernie .O”
He also made a guest appearance in the “Hellfire Nightclub Melbourne” documentary produced by Mark Bakaitis in 2010 discussing the music played over the years at this event.
DJ Infectious Unease loves to explore a plethora of sound and explode it out on the air waves and nite clubs. He has no fear of delivering a sound of surprise. You just never know what he will seduce, tantalise and drive all your five senses with.

Justin has been running regular 'alternative' nightclub events at Blue Velvet on Fridays for at least 6 years and continued to put random nights together at Blue Velvet. As well as, running and hosting spoken word events at Blue Velvet since not long after they first opened.

He co-ran a few regular events at the now defunct Dream nightclub including a retro night. Also while he was involved at Dream, he ran an open stage music night and a popular spoken word and avant-garde performance night called 'PER-VERSE'.
He had also devised and organized a number of very successful experimental 'cyberpunk/nerd' disco/film nights known as "TERRAFORM" which involved masterminding collaboration with local sci-fi clubs, fan film producers

Justin has been hosting a number of electro/industrial DJ's & Goth club DJ's in the early 2000's.

He has put together various other live band nights and other nightclub events at venues over the years including Dan O'Connell Hotel, Old Colonial Hotel, Dream Nightclub, Blue Velvet and Pony.

He has also been involved with other spoken word events such as co-hosting and co-organising the Dan O'Connell Saturday Poetry gig for many years. He has also MC’d for countless spoken word events since the late 90's to present.

Justin is also a musician who plays both solo and in bands that have played both regular gigs and special events over the years. Justin has been DJ's in countless nightclubs over the years since the late 90's.

GUEST DJ MARK BAKAITIS
Mark Bakaitis is a multimedia artist from the band/collective Psych Carni. Together with Remo Camerota the pair have collaborated visually with artists such as Devo, The Prodigy, Donna Summer Estate and LCD Soundsystem. Following his punk rock/industrial background, Mark was introduced to rave in the mid nineties shooting early tours by Ritchie Hawtin, Jeff Mills and Fatboy Slim. A growing interest in Drum & Bass led him to directing two documentaries on the scene including artists such as; Goldie, Grooverider, Optical and Ed Rush. Mark became a DJ in the early years of the BrokenbeatAssault crew alongside Finna, Safire, Livewire and Beatski.
He expanded his style to include reggae, dub, breakbeat, electro and post punk to play at film events and festivals. Recently he has collaborated on videos for Snog/Black Lung and Boyd Rice, constructing visuals for Snog’s European tour.
Current sets feature a focus on 70’s UK Punk, Reggae/Dub. Also Synthpunk/Coldwave and Post Punk.
