Infectious Unease has been presenting Infectious Unease
Radio and DJing at clubs since 1992.
His DJing has ranged from specialist events starting at
Asylum Nightclub, Blue Velvet (Aeon, Belfry, White Room,
Revelations, and Enzyme nights since 2000), Pony (Dark
Fall Ball), Dream (Demus night), Vedettes, Cas Reitops
(Dirty Secrets) and most recently at Horse Bazaar (Dawn
Industries Enzyme Night) ,Abode (Neo Etica) Mr Boogie
Man Bar (Dawn Industries Enzyme Night) and Bodega Bar
(Subterranean Zone).
A member of the band Noir Corps, Dawn Industries Music
Collective, the label Dawn Industries, Enzyme (live music
events), has also released an eclectic and limited edition
4 disc 62 band compilation with his label Infectious Unease
Productions and Dawn Industries. A self-published performance
writer, who has released such books as 2011“Severed
Eye”, 2005 “The Poet's Eye”, 2003 “The
Deception Of Latex That Causes The Deepest Remark”,
1997 “The Cadaver Restaurant- A Menu Of Short Stories
And Poems”, Works On Cd 2010 “ Noir Corps

He also made a guest appearance in the “Hellfire
Nightclub Melbourne” documentary produced by Mark
Bakaitis in 2010 discussing the music played over the
years at this event.
DJ Infectious Unease loves to explore a plethora of sound
and explode it out on the air waves and nite clubs. He
has no fear of delivering a sound of surprise. You just
never know what he will seduce, tantalise and drive all
your five senses with.

Justin
has been running regular 'alternative' nightclub events
at Blue Velvet on Fridays for at least 6 years and continued
to put random nights together at Blue Velvet. As well
as, running and hosting spoken word events at Blue Velvet
since not long after they first opened.
He
co-ran a few regular events at the now defunct Dream nightclub
including a retro night. Also while he was involved at
Dream, he ran an open stage music night and a popular
spoken word and avant-garde performance night called 'PER-VERSE'.
He had also devised and organized a number of very successful
experimental 'cyberpunk/nerd' disco/film nights known
as "TERRAFORM" which involved masterminding
collaboration with local sci-fi clubs, fan film producers
Justin
has been hosting a number of electro/industrial DJ's &
Goth club DJ's in the early 2000's.
He
has put together various other live band nights and other
nightclub events at venues over the years including Dan
O'Connell Hotel, Old Colonial Hotel, Dream Nightclub,
Blue Velvet and Pony.
He
has also been involved with other spoken word events such
as co-hosting and co-organising the Dan O'Connell Saturday
Poetry gig for many years. He has also MC’d for
countless spoken word events since the late 90's to present.
Justin
is also a musician who plays both solo and in bands that
have played both regular gigs and special events over
the years. Justin has been DJ's in countless nightclubs
over the years since the late 90's.
GUEST
DJ MARK BAKAITIS
Mark Bakaitis is a multimedia artist from the band/collective
Psych Carni. Together with Remo Camerota the pair have
collaborated visually with artists such as Devo, The Prodigy,
Donna Summer Estate and LCD Soundsystem. Following his
punk rock/industrial background, Mark was introduced to
rave in the mid nineties shooting early tours by Ritchie
Hawtin, Jeff Mills and Fatboy Slim. A growing interest
in Drum & Bass led him to directing two documentaries
on the scene including artists such as; Goldie, Grooverider,
Optical and Ed Rush. Mark became a DJ in the early years
of the BrokenbeatAssault crew alongside Finna, Safire,
Livewire and Beatski.
He expanded his style to include reggae, dub, breakbeat,
electro and post punk to play at film events and festivals.
Recently he has collaborated on videos for Snog/Black
Lung and Boyd Rice, constructing visuals for Snog’s
European tour.
Current sets feature a focus on 70’s UK Punk, Reggae/Dub.
Also Synthpunk/Coldwave and Post Punk.
